the label on the front of my lunch said “vegetarian” manicotti (yummy), but the side panel said “vegan” and I was duped. tofu is all well and good in a stir-fry or soup, but in stuffed pasta…ecch. tofu should not masquerade as cheese. beware imposters in that House of Tofu.

Good tofu can’t be beat.

The only problem is that it’s hard to find good tofu these days.

Chocolate baklava?

Do they deliver to New York City?

Our favorite falafel.

There’s a great little hole-in-the-wall falafel place on 12th Street, between Fifth and University, Pita Pocket. Also terrific shawarma, and not overpriced.

Mattress, your being in the kitchen may be dangerous, but sometimes it pays to be adventuresome:

My Grammie worked in a bakery for many years, and she passed her talent down to me, for which I am very grateful.

Not sure if Mattress is able to function well in the kitchen, but a sense of adventure and fun should prove fruitful and successful if you endeavor this recipe:

My Grammie worked in a bakery for years, and I was fortunate to have learned literally at her knee. Grandmothers rule.

Sorry for the double post here. Wasn’t sure if the first one took. Major problems at work 10/24/06 with the computer.
