Bizarre foray into the toy world:

I could not find a link to Ideal’s Countdown, a rocket toy of the 1960s, which may have been more relevant to Bwana.

A fun game, but Toaster got really dizzy after running around the house making toast orbit around his head like the Swing Wing.

Then he got nauseous and threw up all his bread crumbs.

Ickie.

I didn’t find anything on an Ideal company’s Countdown rocket toy, but I did find Countdown Creations, which has a lot of nifty stuff. I think Toaster would really like the Bubble Rocket.

I’m putting it on the Christmas list for him. He’ll probably ask Santa for a Red Ryder BB gun (“An official Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot range model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time”). Toaster asks for a Red Ryder BB gun every year, but Bwana won’t let him have one.

Bwana says “You’ll shoot your eye out.”

Great relief here at Chez Bwana. The man who sent us the threatening letter with the white stuff was arrested and charged by the FBI. We feel safer now, but there is no guarantee that some other fool won’t try something similar. We must remain vigilant. Especially since Death Ray Stewie has proven to be absolutely useless.

We can stand down our DefCon to the Ginsu Knives level.

Have you seen “Stranger than Fiction”? I believe that Harold Crick’s watch may be a relative of Toaster – they seem to share a certain charm.

We haven’t seen “Stranger than Fiction” yet. Bwana never takes us to the movies. We have to wait until they come out on DVD.

Have you seen “Stranger than Paradise?” It’s definitely strange.

(Toaster thanks you for saying he has charm. He does have charm. Charm, and lots of bread crumbs.)
