Question: do the Tofu Guys have Tofu Dogs?

Oy! Chocolate falafel!

The Tofu Guys would love to have Tofu Dogs, but Bwana says the household is getting pretty crowded and we don’t have room for any pets. This broke Toaster’s heart: he was going to ask Santa for a puppy this year. Maybe if we got just one Tofu Dog then Bwana won’t notice.

I wonder if they let Tofu Dogs into the Westminster Dog Show.

Or the Miller Park Sausage Race.

Blue Velvet ponders

While sitting in traffic on the 5 Freeway last night, I realized something: how ironic is it that gluten-intolerant Bwana has a Toaster?

Made me chuckle.

Kind of surreal, eh?

But one of Toaster’s main responsibilities is to make sure no glutenated bread reaches Bwana lips. He keeps a list of gluten-free products that are OK for Bwana to eat.

Toaster’s Anti-Gluten Mantra is

The wrong kind of bread could make Bwana dead,
I must choose the slice that is all safe and nice.

The incessant chanting drives Candelabra crazy, but it’s good to know that Toaster takes his job so seriously.

(And don’t go and get him started on the vessel with the pestle and the flagon with the dragon. This is what we get for letting him watch all those old Danny Kaye movies.)

Toaster doesn’t want anything bad to happen to Bwana.

Toaster loves Bwana.

Baseball Teams Good Enough to Eat

Anonymous suggests in Fusion Cuisine:

If it’s a Pennsylvania team, how about the ‘Philly Cheese Stakes’ for a name?
And if they want to stay in NY, how about the ‘New York Tofu Dogs’?

We’ve always felt that “Philadelphia Phillies” is kind of redundant. “Philadelphia Cheese Steaks” has a nice ring to it. Plus they taste good.

I don’t know if Nathan’s would jump on the Tofu Dog bandwagon. Does one have a Tofu Dog with relish and mustard, or with soy sauce and wasabi?

Tofu Dogs would be a good addition to the Yankee Stadium menu. And some Ballpark Sushi wouldn’t hurt, either. Ichiro Suzuki will be a free agent after this season and he’d look awfully good in the Yankee outfield. A little sushi on the menu might be enough to sway him to come east.
