Toaster is jealous because Klement’s Sausages are the Official Sausage of the Milwaukee Brewers. If the Brewers can have an Official Sausage then he thinks the Mets should have an Official Small Appliance.
He wants to be the Official Toaster of the New York Mets.
He’d do it for the Yankees, but the Yankees are very serious and very corporate. They don’t even have a mascot. Toaster thought that Bwana would make a good Yankee mascot, but after he got the big contract from MSNBC it’s not like he needed a part-time job.
And even though we love Bwana, he’d have a lot to do to out-cute Mr. Met.
Toaster thinks he could complement the Home Run Apple. Whenever a Met hits a dinger at Shea they could have a big piece of toast pop out of a replica of Toaster. The Apple has been working at Shea Stadium for a very long time and has been looking a little tired, so platooning him with the Home Run Toaster would be a good idea.
