Toaster queries:

What the heck’s the matter with these kids???

And Blue Velvet replies:

Let’s ask him:

Toaster thinks that Ed Sullivan would vote for toast. Toaster loves Ed Sullivan:

I’m sure Toaster is very patriotic.

Patriotic Stars and Stripes Toaster Cover

BTW, I’m rooting for Tampa.

Toaster likes the Rays, too.

Bwana won’t let Toaster have a Moose, but maybe Toaster can get Santa to bring him a cownose ray for Christmas. They seem nice and well-behaved. Toaster says he can keep them in the bathtub.

Gee, whiz.

So-o-o much commotion after Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama. Toaster endorsed Mr. Obama a long time ago, and did anyone notice?

The small appliance vote continues to be ignored by the major parties ….

Gee, whiz!

The financial markets are tanking, the presidential race is getting all nasty, and the Dreaded Phillies are in the World Series! But the absolute worst thing is that they are tearing down Shea Stadium.

Toaster is very upset. Bwana bought him a couple of seats from Shea, but all Toaster has done the past few days is sit in them and be sad.

Small appliances are very sensitive ….

Nothing is better for strep throat than warm toast with a little hunny.

And a glass of milk.

Save Us, Obi-Wan Warren Buffett Kenobi!

Blue Velvet writes:

I know Toaster loves the pigs, but if he has a Piggy Bank pal, we sure could use his help right now.

Super Pig

There’s been so much bad news lately about the economy. Toaster is worried that his Piggie Bank is going to start to lose weight. Piggies aren’t supposed to be svelte.

Toaster thinks that the people in government should put Warren Buffett in charge of the economy. Mr. Buffett is really smart, he’s really good with money, and he works for peanuts.

Gee, whizzers, even Bwana makes more than Mr. Buffett!

We don’t need Super Pig. We need Super Warren!

Toaster of Death, part deux

Blue Velvet writes in Toaster of Death:

Maybe you can find a jinx to jinx all the jinxes:

Jinx Magazine

Gee, whizzers.

After the Mets and the Twinkies were knocked out Toaster decided to cheer for the Cubbies — sort of as an homage to Hoodie Bear. But Chicago is now 0-2 and headed to Los Angeles and the not-friendly confines of Chavez Ravine.

Sigh ….

And Sheila adds:

Toaster should go for the Ambassadorship to France, he’d love Paris in the Spring.

I have a good feeling Bwana, if not letting Toaster have a puppy, would not go for having a Moose around the house…Besides, I don’t think Toaster could handle taking an animal that large for a walk every day.

Bwana did say that Toaster would have to walk the Moosie. Toaster likes walking, but having to pick up moose poop is another thing.

He might just stick with hanging with the Tofu Guys, who while not fluffy like a puppy or a moose at least only leave trails of slime and no soybean turds.

Sheila wrote in Let’s Go Twinkies!:

I’m glad to hear Toaster took the Mets loss so well and didn’t go for his hiding place under the sink. Now he can start rooting for the Patriots full time with Hoodie Bear, since he doesn’t have a team playing baseball now.

Well, gee whiz.

Toaster cheered for the Mets and they didn’t make the playoffs.

Then he cheered for the Twinks and they didn’t make the playoffs, either.

He’s beginning to think he’s the Kiss of Death. Sheesh, he’s like the Sports Illustrated Cover Jinx and the Dan Patrick Jinx rolled up into one.

He’s thinking of selling the Toaster Jinx to the highest bidder. Senator Obama’s campaign said that if Toaster jinxes Senator McCain’s campaign they will let him be ambassador to France. That would be fun — French toast, baguettes, and croissants are all wonderful breakfast foods. But Governor Palin said that if Toaster jinxes the Obama campaign then she will give him a real life moose straight from Alaska. Toaster has always wanted to have puppy, so he figures a moose would be like the next best thing and pretty darn neat-o.

We think he’s going to have to ask Bwana’s permission first, though ….
