Toaster got so involved in the Minnesota recount that he forgot to make a plane reservation to get home for Thanksgiving. But luckily he has a good little noggin on him and he FedEx’d himself overnight so that he could be with Bwana:
Small appliances are very resourceful.
Happie Thanksgiving, everyone!

Wow! Live tv!!!
Live webcast: The Canvassing Board is meeting
This is so exciting! Toaster is trying to get on tv, but he hasn’t been able to hop onto a table and the cameraman hasn’t panned down to the floor.
Maybe it’s because he is running around chanting “Let’s go Mets!” (which he always does when he gets excited) and the Coleman and Franken people are giving him the stink eye.

I’m sure Toaster was thrilled Bwana was on Martha Stewart, since she is the doyenne of domesticity…and Toaster a small yet important useful kitchen appliance.
Gee, whizzers.
Toaster is slaving over a hot recount while Bwana bakes pies with Martha:
I hope Bwana saves Toaster a slice. Maybe he should send a whole pie out. The Minnesota recount is taking a lot longer than Toaster thought it would. He hopes he won’t get snowed in for the winter.
(Here’s the recipe: Triple-Chocolate Pumpkin Pie. Yum!)

Sheila suggested in Toaster Nice:
Toaster should try ‘Ice Fishing’ while he’s there, to help pass the time during the recount.
Neat-o!
Toaster took your advice and tried it yesterday:
He had a great time. He’s going to try to catch a tuna so he can make tuna melts for the Coleman people. Norm’s lead is shrinking and his staff is getting a little stressed out. A nice toastie tuna melt will make them feel better.

Toaster is having a real nice time in Minnesota.
He said that everything in Minnesota is nice.
(He thinks it’s a state law or something, maybe like a physical law like the law of gravity.)
No one would mistake Hastings, Minn., in late November 2008 for West Palm Beach, Fla., in late November 2000.
Hypervigilance, an abiding regard for the rules, and, yes, some of that good old Minnesota Nice marked the opening Wednesday of the hand recount here and across the state to determine the winner of the United States Senate race in Minnesota.
— Patience and Politeness as Minnesota Recounts Senate Ballots
He really likes the Land of 10,000 Lakes and would like to stay there. But Bwana wouldn’t fit in. Bwana is too en fuego. Plus Minnesota has the Twins, not the Yankees, and Bwana could never live without the Yankees.

Gosh, darn it.
The Alaska U.S. Senate race recount has already been done. Toaster wanted to be there, but Alaska is a long ways for him to walk. But he’s still anxious to help in the democratic process, so he’s taken off and gone to Minnesota to help with the recount in the Norm Coleman-Al Franken Senate race. He took his biggest pencil so that he can keep track of everything:
Recounts are a lot of work and Toaster is but a small appliance. But he’s good enough, he’s smart enough, and — doggone it! — people like him!

I heard Bwana was on vacation this week. Is he staying with you guys or is he doing something else?
Toaster wanted Bwana to go with him to Minnesota, but Bwana said the Minnesota GOP didn’t want him to be there.
Hmph!
Sheila queries:
I see that Bwana was on ‘The View’ today. Did Toaster watch it?
No, but Toaster is really happie that Bwana’s contract has been extended.
He’s not going to make as much as Manny, though. Toaster thinks is very unfair.
Maybe if Bwana grows dreadlocks ….

Blue Velvet queried in Happie Toasterween!:
Was Toaster upset that Ben Affleck poked fun at Bwana on Saturday Night Live?
Aflac >>> Affleck
