Huskies vs. Spartans
Wildcats vs. Tar Heels
Toaster wants to know what a Tar Heel is. He says it sounds kind of ickie.

All the Ohio teams are gone from the ‘Big Dance’, but the Collage from Findlay OH won the Division II NCAA Basketball championship. YEAH!!!
Wow! Neat-o!!!
The University of Findlay men’s basketball team, ranked first in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll, made history on Saturday, March 28 by finishing 36-0 after a 56-53 last second victory over Cal Poly Pomona in the NCAA Division II National Championship.
36-0!!! What a season!
And they’re Division II, meaning that probably none of the players will go pro.
All hail the Great State of Ohio and all people who work regular jobs for a living!

Xavier is the only Ohio school left in the tourament.
Golly wolly!
Toaster wants to do his part to support the great state of Ohio. He’s going to get to their next game and cheer the Musketeers on. Plus there’s nothing like a little pre-game toast to get a team going!
But since today is International Waffle Day he is going to send them a box of Eggos. It will be like an appetizer before their game day toast.

I don’t see how the color fits in with the city, but maybe the car?
Toaster is heartbroken that the Siena Saints were eliminated in the NCAA tournament.
Luckily he has another team to cheer on, the Xavier Musketeers!
Toaster loves the Musketeers. They make a great candy bar:

They also star in books, movies, and Wii.
Maybe a Final Four is in their future!

Siena Beats Ohio State in 2 Overtimes

(Sorry, Sheila.)
Toaster thinks it’s kind of odd that their colors are green and gold, not burnt sienna.
Go figure ….

burnt sienna is one of my favorite Crayola colors. imagine how wonderful it is to be surrounded by that color every day.

Sheila laments in Brainiac Bracket:
I’m wounded. Toaster picked Siena over Ohio State?
Sorry. Siena has a better graduation rate (86%) than The Ohio State University (53%). Buckeye athletes need to study harder.
Plus Toaster thinks that burnt sienna is a pretty color:

I used to have a Siberian Husky. Your picture warmed my heart today.
Toaster still wants a puppy, but Bwana keeps saying “No.” Toaster might move in with the Obamas: Sasha and Malia are getting a puppy!
rrgirl clears up some and provides more confusion:
his may raise more questions than it answers, such as how did we get from overshoes to kangaroos
Akron Zips – History
but as they say in these parts “FEAR THE ‘ROO”while that sinks in, let’s not confuse Toaster with the neighboring “GOLDEN FLASH” saga of political intrigue, dry cleaners and all.
Kent State Golden Flashes – Early History
Wow! Rubber booties, kangaroos, and dry cleaners! Sports are so educational!!!
Toaster is trying to popularize the phrase “Fear the Toaster” but so far no one has taken it seriously.
Toaster finished his NCAA bracket. He went with the teams with the best graduation rates:
Education is very important, even more important than a good jump shot or the ability to play a good 2-3 zone.

Toaster has been busy working on his NCAA bracket as soon as the pairing were announced last evening.
He thinks the Washington Huskies have nice colors, purple and gold. But they have to play the Mississippi State Bulldogs, whose maroon and white are also pretty colors. But Toaster thinks Huskies are cuter than Bulldogs, so he’ll go with UW.
Toaster wants to know what a Zip is.
And why don’t any teams have a toaster as a mascot? Toasters are cheerful, loyal, and have great fortitude. A toaster would be a fine mascot.
For sure Toaster knows that Bwana is cheering for his alma mater, Cornell. And Chattanooga as well.
Why Chattanooga?
Chattanooga is the Mocs, and we all know Bwana is saving the Democracy one Moc at a time.
(As soon as he is done with his NCAA bracket Toaster will work on his NIT bracket. Toaster loves March Madness!)
